A QR code is a black & white image that can be scanned by a smart phone, that'll take you to a website. You can create your own QR codes to help people quickly get to a page you want them to see. The sample below will take you to the Hands On Atlanta website.
Vistaprint has a free QR code generator. Simply copy and paste the URL and voila, it generates a QR code that looks a lot like the one above, but will go to whatever site you chose. From here you can copy or save the image, and then paste or upload it elsewhere outside of the Vistaprint website.
So, what all can we do with a QR code?
Flyers. A great use case is to put a QR code that links back to your event of project registration link, on a paper flyer that you're distributing. People can then sign up on the spot on their own phones.
Donation links. Print out a QR code to your donation platform, and put it on project tables, your walls, your door, anywhere... so that everyone who visits your space, can easily give a few dollars.
Check-in Kiosk. Having a QR code to the check-in kiosk at events, can help make the registration table line go much quicker as people will be able to scan and sign in for themselves.
The possibilities are endless - and it's really that easy!
